Hobbies / Interests: Huge Baseball & Nascar Fan – In my spare time I coach Little League which enables me to spend time with my son. Teaching kids how to play this game is without a doubt the most fun anyone could ever have and watching these kids grow is very exciting.
Happily married to my wife Susan, with a 6 year old son, Landon who is my best buddy.
Favorite things about working at Carlsen: Everyday seems to bring on different challenges and this in itself makes the job interesting and rewarding. The people we work with are all unique in there own way making it an enjoyable and fun atmosphere.
Where am I from? Born in Canada. Raised in California since the age of 2
Where I learned my skills? There have been numerous courses that I have attended supported by Volvo covering Service aspects of the business. Even though classroom training is very helpful and gets people to refocus, there is nothing better than everyday interaction with customers to keep us sharp.

There are many “favorite” things about working here at Carlsen Volvo. My co-workers enjoy their jobs, just as I do, making the atmosphere here wonderful. We all work together as a team & get satisfaction from a job well done. This is our second family. Carlsen Volvo maintains a great rapport with all of the employees.

What experience for my customers to receive?: The feeling that it was a smooth and relatively easy experience, where every one of their needs was addressed and taken care of by someone (me!) that very obviously had their best interests in mind.

Hobbies / Interests: Watching funny movies, playing with my dog!
Family life: Happily married to my High-School sweetheart, with 2 beautiful daughters (20 and 22)

Favorite things about working with Carlsen Volvo: It’s a very fun atmosphere from the “top down” – the owner and managers encourage us all to work hard and make sure we have fun doing it.
Where am I from: Raised in San Mateo
Where they learned their skills?: There have been several courses I’ve taken over the years, from “Good listening skills” to “Effective Communication” and on, but most of the skills have come from actual interaction with customers. What a great “school” that is – there are just so many different types of people, and all with unique perceptions and needs that I’m able to help. As a result, I’m kept sharp and am provided with wonderful learning opportunities every day.
Anything else special that comes to mind: Simply this – I do my best to treat everyone I come in contact with – customers and fellow employees alike – the way that I would personally like to be treated. In business AND life in general, it’s a “win-win” strategy.

I would like to see my customer’s leave happy with the excellent service they were provided with. I would like them to know that when they leave Carlsen Volvo if needs arise, they have a car home to come back to.

Hobbies/Interests: Going to the gym and working out, going to the movies, attending sporting events such as baseball, football, and hockey.
Family life: I have been married to my beautiful wife Christy for 16 years. I have three beautiful children one boy and two girls. My son R.J. is 18, my daughter Jordan is 14, and my youngest daughter Maddison is 10.

Favorite things about working with Carlsen Volvo: Working at Carlsen Volvo is like working with family. Most of the employees have worked here for several years.
Where are they from?: I was born and raised in San Jose, California
Where they learned their skills: I learned my customer’s service skills by interacting with the public over the years and learning how to deal with all sorts of situations. Also throughout the years I have had the opportunity to attend several Volvo sponsored classes that have help hone my skills.
Anything else special that comes to mind: Working here at Carlsen Volvo has been an extreme joy. I know that when coming to work everyday I will have a pleasant experience. The managers here are willing to listen to your thoughts and needs and are going to work through them with you.
